The Past
For the Kuryla family, it has always been about the land. Preserving the mature woods, taking advantage of the open space and remembering the past as we design for the future has always been a part of our vision. Since 1959, the Kuryla family has farmed this property, tended livestock and made a life around raising horses for recreational enjoyment. Lynn Kuryla, who was also an amateur photographer, poignantly captured the essence of the land and their farm life during the sixties. Many of these preserved slides have taken on a new life as the theme of art gracing the walls of Level One creating a warm inviting space for social gatherings.
The Present
Level One shares it’s building with KGK Gardening & Design Corp which began in Hudson on the property in 1984. Today this multi-million dollar company continues to provide full service landscape architecture, construction and maintenance services throughout Northeast Ohio under the auspices of Ken Kuryla and his dedicated hardworking staff. The Future
Just to the North of Level One on the Kuryla property Highfields Event Center has recently opened for larger corporate and social events. Hudson's Brand New Five Thousand Square Foot Modern Venue Is Surrounded By Lush Gardens And Private Pristine Woods. The space Is based on the timeless theme of harmonizing elegant architecture and open air views to enhance wedding celebrations and offsite corporate meetings and event experiences.
